Various Gay and Lesbian groups are calling for protests if and when the Gov. does not sign, or veto's the proposed legsislation for gay marriage. According to a post on indybay: The following Equality California chapters and allied organizations are hosting community gatherings in response to the Governor's action on AB 849. We will rally the same day of the veto if the Governor acts before 2 p.m. and the following calendar day (including weekends) if the Governor acts after 2 p.m. If you would like to submit additional local actions, please email brian@eqca.org or call (415) 377-2804 with the details of when and where they will be held and who the contact person is. The info for Modesto is: Modesto: Meet at 10th Street place, downtown across from Brendon Theater from 5 to 7 p.m. Contact Jeff at (209) 480-3622 or email stanislaus@eqca.org. I think that we sould make an effort to show solidarity, and also a radical perspective on these events, if they do unfold. More info: www.indybay.org/news/2005/09/1771303.php

I thought I read where he already did veto it. Do you have any updates on this either way, or refer us to other info links on it? Thanks.

I would google for Marriage Equality.
I didn't see anything in the paper yesterday, but maybe I'm wrong.
