The Zapatista Solidarity Coalition, in collaboration with It's About Time, a "Black Panther alumni organization", will host a special event on February 11th. The featured speaker will be Ashanti Allston, a former Black Panther who has been traveling to Chiapas to study the Zapatista autonomous communities.
The event will be held at K.I.N.K.S. International, at the corner of 15th and G Streets, at 7:00 pm on Saturday, February 11th. Admission is free, but donations will be requested to support the work of Estacion Libre, a people of color collective that takes delegations to Chiapas to learn about the Zapatista movement first-hand.
